We had some really nice tips from today's tutorial. It's time for us to go beyond the brainstormings, and to be more practical.
- I have already known what style I want. So instead of asking everyone to do random drawings, we should mimic the style. I need to give copies of the style samples to everyone.
- I need to work out the lists of exactly how many characters, acts, enviornments, mood and emotions in the film.
- Think about why the boy gets lost if his mum is taking care of him all the time.
- Think about the establish shot (we had some ideas already).
- How the picture will exactly look like from 1 scene to another.
- Go to the school! We'll get inspired. Also observe how the kids move, for the sake of our camera movements.
Also here are the plan-outs, the 2nd version of the story, from Me and Kat. To visualise it more, I'll do a storyboard thumbnails based on this.
They are a bit rough, the thumbnails will make more sense. But many new ideas. They're in Kat's handwriting.
- People on the bus change into farm animals when the bus shakes
- Jelly like farm land makes the boy dizzy
- Chickens pop up from the ground
- Chickens head butting each other
- The pig has a long nose
- The pig drinks mud from the bottle and drunk
- The boy sinks into the darkness of the mud
- Everytime of the heart beats, he sees a scary image
- He touches the eye of the cow, freaking both of them out
- Crazy flies dive and shot at him
- A massive milk machine sucks kids into the milk tank
- The milk tank changes into the heart of mum. The milk is symbolic to mum as well
