
what i like about Mt Head, is first the camera angles. the extreme closeup, the way it chances of sets view, the rotating, etc are really boldly used.
also, the surrealism. not only the surreal of the visions, also the unbelievable feelings it s trying to deliver. the whole thing is just awkward. a typical Japanese way of saying things, which has been done greatly in this one.
and the music, Roukyoku(a form of storytelling, combining narrative and singing) and shamisen(instrument 3 taste strings). This reminds me the brilliant use of Korean folk music in the film Chunhyang (Korea, 2000).
