MikeHirsch

Background artist Mike Hirsch reviews on our film:
  • The logics must work. Is the film always in the boy's point of view? why we can see the boy sometime?
  • The establishment is very important. How to introduce the condition? The establishment must achieve to persuade the audience having no doubt about the logics all the way through of the film.

-- Shall we go back to the idea of filming a live acting D-B boy and his mum? By doing this, we can immediately tell the backstory of the boy, so we can even have more freedom on the animation.

-- But how to transfer the scene from live action to animation?

--To show the contrast - the boy can't see and hear; but he laughs as a normal boy and clever and curious.
  • Charlie + Lola (CBeebies animation) kid's imaginary friend
  • Art - a vehicle of coded feeling/meaning from the artist and will be unlocked by audience through time
  • Need to have complete control of the mood. pollution-free, clear idea about what u want to say
  • Composition: tone, contrast, perspective/depth, focus, movement, colour/texture. What do u want people to look at?
  • 3 questions:What am i trying to say? How i say it? Was it worth it?

-- How to make the film interesting to watch but don't lose the meaning of it?

  • Creation:Collect-Collate-Convey
The school gets back to us!! And some drawings for the boy.
